How much does it cost?

It costs 30(UK) or $50(US).  This offer excellent value for money & is one of the cheapest products of this type on the market. There are no additional fees there after (free upgrades for that version). Updates are posted on our web site for you to download.

You can then view the fixtures, enter scores, view the league table, print & much more.

What if I need to move to another PC?

Contact us about reinstalling on another PC.

What Spec of PC do I need?

You need a Pentium processor with 32 Megabytes of RAM running Windows 95/98/NT/Windows 2000 or Windows ME.  A display of 1024×768 is recommended..

Why 1024×768, I want 800×600!

We have had many people ask about this.  The program is designed to run at a resolution of 1024×768.  This is fine for 99% of PC’s as just about any PC that is less than 5 years old can do this.  We understand that people do want to be able to run it at a lower resolution & we have added in V1.025.03 support for 800×600 resolution.

How often are updates released?

Updates are released for various reasons.  If a bug is found then a fix will be made available on the website.  We also are continuously working to add features & improve League Maker 2000.  We welcome suggestions & if would like to see something added then let us know.  We have already added several suggestion made to us.

Features

Tell me about Teams in V1.3

New to V1.3 is the ability to create ‘Team Leagues’.  Normal Leagues let you set a ‘name’ vs another ‘name’eg, Player 1 vs Player 2 or Team A vs Team B.  You can only keep the total score for this player/Team, you cannot keep individual score for a ‘name’ (players or Teams).  With ‘Team Leagues’ you can create a Team which holds up to 16 players/names in it.  You then get a Team score sheet that you enter the scores into & the collective score for these 16 names is taken as the overall score for that Team.

As an example, you have run a Pool league that has 20 teams, each team has 7 players.   If you use the normal league then you can only specify the result for Team A vs Team B. If you created this League as a Team League then you enter the scores for individual games within each match. So, if the the first game in Team A vs Team B is Player A1 vs Player B1 down to Player A10 vs Player B10 then the scores for each game is added up to make the total score for Team A vs Team B.

Also, you have two options for scoring methods for the Teams.  WinLoseDraw scoring assigns points based on who wins a game.  If Player A1 beats Player B1 then Player A1 gets 3 points ( based on the global settings).etc down to the last game.   The points for Team A again is the total of these points.  Cumulitive scoring simply adds all the points up for each Team player to make the total for that Team.

Customising the League Table

New in V1.32 is the ability to customise the output of the League Table.   Previously you had a standard output of  Position, Name, Wins, Draws, Lost, Points.

In V1.34 you can now have up to 8 (from a ) columns displayed, in any order, from the following list

Position, Team/Player Name, Wins, Lost, Drawn, +, -, Points, Played, Difference.

You can then sort on up to 5 of these fields.  Eg, you can show 8 of the fields ( in any order ) then sort it by Points, Wins, Drawn, Lost, difference then name. So if Points are equal it then checks wins etc.

This format can also be exported to the HTML file.

How many names/players can I have?

In a normal League you can have up to 32 players/names in any league.  If they play each other once then this will be 31 games & if a game is played each week then it will take 31 weeks. In a Team League you can have up to 32 Teams with up to 16 names/players in each Team.

How many leagues?

As many as your harddrive can hold.  Each league takes up about 500K of diskspace.

What about date formats?

The date format is taken from the Windows operating system in the Control Panel.    If it’s set to UK format then League Maker 2000 will be in the UK format.

 What can I configure?

You can change the points for a win, draw or lose. You can toggle whether the date/weeknum is displayed.  You can change the point type from Frames to whatever suits your league. The default save/open path can be set.  You can configure the League Table out ( which columns & where )Various other options are available from the Customise pulldown menu.

How do I enter scores?

From the main screen click on Fixtures.  Each table has a score button.   Click on this to enter the scores.

What is Home & Away?

Most leagues will utilise the Home & Away rule.  If you play more than once per season then the first game will be at home & the second will be away.  Eg, Team 1 Vs Team 2 takes place in Week 1, the next time these team would play is Week 8 so it will be displayed as Team 2 Vs Team 1.  If each team plays from a different venue then use Home & Away, or if you specify that the Home team must contact the Away team to play the match then you would use the ‘Home & Away’ rule.

Exporting to HTML

You can export the League fixtures & League tables to HTML.  This lets you put it on the internet for everyone to see.

Tell me about Teams

In Version 1.3 you will be able to create Team leagues.  Previously when you added a player/team/name you could only enter the combined result for that team.   Now, each team can list up to 16 players & each individual score can be saved/viewed/edited.  This gives greater scope & flexibility to everyone!

Restricting access to Leagues

In V1.34 a feature was added to let you password protect the program.  Go to the customise page & enter a password.  When you next run the program you are prompted for the password, after 3 attempts the program closes.  This is a simple method which should suit most users.
